No blogs from me for the last two day’s due to my Gal Friday (and administartor Luan) being away for the weekend however she’s back today.
NH returns today after (it seems) quite a break! Yes in all honesty I find the Jumps much more predictable and honest. Races develop in that sphere
where on the Flat of course changes occur within split seconds and of course we can do nothing about it.
I introduced the Turbo Hughie method (where I place lay the Hughie selection in running for stake recovery purposes plus £1) for the Flat season for a purpose. Pre race liquidity on the place market is fine as currently its subsidised by Bookmakers levelling their ew positions and you will find that when the market suspends in general terms there is much less liquidity near the Betfair SP level and prices dip – sometimes substantially – once the race goes in running on Betfair. Add on the lemming factor (he/she who bets on the front 4 in a race) and at a stroke prices dip. Its this dip which is important to me as I find that the one third level is adequate to catch the lemmings in the Turbo net. If you had used the Turbo yesterday 2 losing Hughies would have been saved. Well worth playing.
OK the Hughies. In June we made a huge profit of just £7! Yes it was poor I agree and July has started poorly too. I have analysed the figures and have come up with a couple of refinements to my selection process by introducing further filters so lets hope for a better second half of July.
Have a look at improving the Hughie price. Pitch at a level before the race for part of your stake. Remember the layers use the place market pre race so often sensible to match earlier.
Big congratulations to Old Owl for his performance yesterday on the Forum.
Non Runners killed 3 bets yesterday. Disgrace how nothing alters. Please use Betfair when you see NRs affecting the field size. Its our only option.
Just one ‘Live Blog Bet’ from me today:
An £12 Hughie (A place bet played via Betfair’s place markets on the horse finishing in the places i.e. 1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
£12 to place on Desert Storm 210 Per (In good hands with Gordon Elliot – given a sharpener last week over 14 furlongs and can go v close today.)
