£30 place only on Duncan 2.10 Goodwood (pitching at 1.24)

Price at the end is price to take, if pitching and price not taken then bet 5 mins pre race at best. Obviously take care & adjust when drifting substantially or if horses are taken out.

28 POINT Profit in JUNE From The Stats Plays

When I started my service last year it was on the back of the profitable stats work I had been sharing with the forum for some years. In general the mainstay of my betting these days concentrates on place betting and I have to say June has not been kind to me, a blip in place selection form has meant the month as a whole only just ended in profit. However, the stats side of things managed over a 28 point profit for the month place laying in handicaps, £845 at £30 a point. Statistically this angle will continue to be profitable through July. I have also been working on another angle which also starts today on straight winners.

Basically it’s a changing racing calandar and the stats show what to be playing and what not to be playing as the months roll round. There are some optimum moments to strike and June and July seem to be the two prime months for breaking the back of flat handicaps… 28 Points in June, I hope for 30 in July.

Membership is capped at 25, but there are still a couple of places left if you had thought about joining. If you want to join in you can always pay for the month and then cancel your subscription month end if you decide it’s not for you longterm, but July should be a good month to get involved even if you just play these statistical bets and monitor the rest. Would a 547-1 winner make YOU happy?

Well it certainly put a smile on this old sages face – just for the record the bet given on Wednesday was as follows:

COMBO (Combination Bet)

6 x £ 2 each way doubles and a £1 each way accumulator

Lenny Bee 15:10 Beverley
Zaplamation 15:45 Beverley
Rumoush 16:45 Newmarket
Ipswich Lad 18:35 Kempton Park

All four horses in the combination duly won at Best Odds Guaranteed Odds of 3/1, 4/1, 7/2 and 5/1.

Remember days like that WILL happen with combination betting and without doubt I feel we are really on the right road in playing bets this way as it gives you the best of both worlds – BIG wins and hedging opportunities.

I received lots of emails from members regarding the winning accumulator and I really appreciate them especially after some very tricky times, one story was particularly heartwarming. Here are the bones of the email:

Opening The Post Can Harm Your Betting Profits

Members following my betting strategy will be having a good time currently betting on horse racing as if ‘ours’ don’t place we are catching them with very low in running lays. It really is so important to take a defensive stance when betting on horses.

Always hedge for stake retrieval and stay in business. I have always said betting on sports is a business and gambling is for idiots and I see no reason to alter this long-term view.

Sports betting strategically IS the way forward without doubt.

So why am I reminding you that we are following the correct route?

Well, look at today’s Racing Post – ‘The Ultimate Guide for Betting’ - oveh – there is a newish writer – Graeme Rodway – Page 12 – today, offering 2 horses in an each way double.

Good grief I thought at last a bit of commercial common sense. I then looked at his selections foolishly thinking he was following a mathematical line like we do. He has 2 each way selections in 15 runner Handicaps!!!!!!.

15 runner Handicaps are mathematically the daftest races you should be betting in and to suggest an each way double in those races is begging for a P45. It is irrelevant whether the 2 horses he selected will win or not. They could well do but it’s the CONCEPT, which is wrong. Pass me the pills nurse.

Well it is Sunday and I suppose my sermon will be skipped by most of you but I can assure you all that strategic betting is the way forward. Patience comes second.

Denman provided the excitement on Saturday and my ethos of ‘expect the unexpected’ again came into play. No wonder I have decided to take a little profit on Dunguib at Cheltenham. Sure he’s a fine horse and maybe will become a ‘great’ one, but he’s now doing it with other peoples money. I’m always happy to take a little less profit in return for safety in this turbulent game. On that subject Paddy Power have a new bet where you can take out ‘insurance’ should your horse fall in some races. Excellent stuff.

Rugby Union.

Wonderful finish in Cardiff and the 1.01 available on Betfair again proved very lucrative for traders.

Warrington pulled off the win at Castleford and Richie Myler proved what a great finisher he is and I think we have a good bet there for top try scorer as he’s a ‘sniffer’ and always in the right place at the right time and his big provider of tries – Solomona – wasn’t even playing last night!

Citeh excited nobody again yesterday and they replay again on Tuesday.
