Big Mike’s Friday Betting Advice & Each Way Double

Brown envelopes? Is this a myth or fact? Whatever it is – they exist and to put things in a monetary example yesterday over at my paid for service we had 4 in a Yankee which gave a 1p profit whereas if 8 had run in the 1.45 the profit would have been £35. So what happens to the £34.99? Two guesses. I will bleat no more but we may consider going down the `Bottler` route. Last year – due to the spate of brown envelopes and Bookies running for cover I played the bets only via Betfair in order to receive the vital 3 spots. There may be days ahead when I will do so.

A nice double yesterday on the blog (I thought prices were generous for once) and not a winner in sight – Strategic Betting in action!

Big Mike’s Thursday Betting Advice & Each Way Double Bet

Thursday, December 9th, 2010

A few hardy Trainers keeping the whole Racing Industry going currently. People like David Evans, Mark Brisbourne etc really put the hours in so that at least there is something on the Betting Menu.

Yesterday I used for the first time for a long time Fergal Sweeney. You may remember (those who have been with for many years) the reasons why I bypassed his mounts. In short he used to ride for `our` horse when with Michael Blanshard and pre race there were very odd movements on the Betting Exchanges and the mount finished an unexpected 4th. Safe to say we never used him again. Yesterday he rode the `Banker` in the Trixie and………………….by a neck finished fourth and his ride is there for all to see on bet365.com using the `Extra` button to view. My fault for using him really and for that I apologise but even so those of you sensibly using the `mines` will have obtained stake retrieval on the bet.

Big Mike’s Sunday Betting Advice & Premiership Football Bet

Sunday, December 5th, 2010

Good morning, well I went to bed last night with a smile on my face in the thought I had cracked the Warwick card with a lovely little BMB on Omaruru, Bless The Wings & Bowntobebad. However `the best laid schemes of mice and men` became apparent this morning when the meeting was called off. Gutted!

We had a good day on Saturday with a big turn out in the Forum Chatroom (think there were 25 of us before the 7.20 race) and hopefully we came out well (financially) as our last leg was backed down to under 2/1 in running so most members would have retrieved their stakes on yesterdays bets AND had good profits from the doubles and treble still contained within the Buzzer. Really – strongly – feel that we are on the right lines with the strategy and despite the poor weather we can now use yesterdays profits to be a little more expansive on some future bets.

Big Mike’s Thursday Betting Advice & Each Way Double Brewed by Tetley

Good morning all……just the one meeting now having lost Leafy to the weather. Before any of us make any sarcastic statements about “all weather” tracks, I think it’s fair to say that 8 inches of snow really does make racing impossible, so I have no quibbles about it being abandoned. At the moment it’s difficult to see when racing will resume as normal, and we should all tread very carefully when it does, as some trainers have far better facilities than others.

Big Mike’s Tuesday Betting Advice Brewed By Tetley

Morning all, well this cold snap at least gives us some time to sit back and reflect how things are going for us all. As we all aware Mike is having a great Season so far, so all of his subscribers should be…..however I bet one or two aren’t!!!

You have to be very professional in this business, and you must also be very disciplined. So where does it sometimes go wrong? Well here are one or two Golden Rules….I may be stating the obvious, but I will wager a £1 to a penny we have all broken the rules. I know I have…..and it’s not a crime to make a mistake, however it’s a disaster if you don’t learn from it.
