I was also Very pleased with Joan D’Arc winning at 100/8 in old money (12.5 nowadays) and the reasoning behind the victory showed what tricks connections are up to. I have always said that Racing is THE hardest nut to crack of all the sports and such antics just prove that theory.
In Football today there is a doubt about Andy Carroll but if he does start I think a fiver @ 9/1 with paddys that he scores with his head is worth a little punt.

Morning all…….not a very inspiring days racing today, but hopefully found a couple of value bets. It’s been quite a weekend hasn’t it? We keep coming up with some cracking bets, and if you follow the stategy, even when the second leg lets you down, you can still come out ok.
I know I’m aftertiming here but after yesterdays first leg went in, I of course put some big lays on the place side, and also a stake return lay of £100 on the win side at 1.55 which was matched. I don’t know how low the horse was laid, but it came 2nd and I was still well up on the bet. If it had won, then yes…..I would have given away £55, but the total return would have made that look a small sum…….and as I keep saying, always…..”leave a bit for the next man”………we have all the tools here to take the bookies on at their own game, so USE them!!

Morning everyone, It’s an interesting days racing, but not many opportunities that suit our betting techniques. I’m not a big fan of laying, but I feel there is at least one favourite that looks somewhat dodgy, so I have included it in my own bets. Unusually for me, I have very little to add today.
Right onto todays blog bets;
A BMB (Busy Mike Bet)
3 x £10 ew doubles & £15 ew treble
Steps 13:30 Lingfield Park 13/8
Empress Orchid 14.50 Newc 13/8
Johnny Hancocks 16.50 Wolves 13/8
Lays…….
I really don’t like Mr Stoutes La Concorde in the 14.05 at Leafy…….currently available to lay at 2.8.. so if playing the bet, you lay at 2.8, then put a bet in the keep at 5.6 (twice the price) to half your lay stake……best of luck if playing.

Little to add today except `Please keep planting those `mines` especially on the place site`. I mention this specifically due to the performance of Grandouet yesterday finishing well down the field AFTER being laid at 1.03 on the place. Please continue to use the strategy every time – its just plain common sense to protect your capital and increase your return.
MY BLOG BET TODAY:-
DOUBLE DIAMOND
80% stakes today
2 x £22 win singles (2nd not played if first wins) plus £50 ew double (Half
equally divided)
Lucky William 15:35 Naas 5/2
Strictly Pink 19:20 Wolverhampton 6/4
NB Lucky William was backed by me last time when falling when in command (1.11 on win) so its a bet today with that in mind. Get the mines in – win and place just in case – inflate the stake a tad in lieu.
Double Diamond Rules
a) All Double Diamonds are placed HALF equally divided and HALF straight.
b) The second single of any DD is NOT played if there is a return from the first horse.
c) Often Mike will place WIN lays & sometimes PLACE lays in running on the first horse and these will be given in the column. Mike will stipulate as and when to play the bet this way.
d) The Double Diamond should ALWAYS be placed using Best Odds Guaranteed prices (we use b365).
e) Use BETFAIR whenever less than 8 run, for instance if there are withdrawals/NR’s and the traditional bookmakers only have to pay out on 2 places. (In such instances, Betfair will still pay out on three places).

Good morning. Firstly thank you for the emails and private letters received too after Unc`s death. Really very kind of you at this time and it shows the Service has a bit of a `club` atmosphere.
Again tetley is to be congratulated for his efforts and he will be standing in for me quite a few days over the next few weeks.
Season figures so far, received from the Independent Assessor last night showed :-
HUGHIES 25
BERNIE 467
RAMBO -220.79
RINGMASTER 4
DOUBLE DIAMOND 974
DUNLOP 1242
ALI 301
BUZZER -91
BMB 597
SINGLES 16
COMBO 1179
TOTAL 4494
Not bad for starters.
Full spread sheets available to any member requiring them – just email me on mike@bigmikebetting.co.uk.
Yesterday was nearly a NO BET day for me but having looked at some of the mathematical bets available I felt a Super Rambo would do the trick as apart from the big acca odds available there was great potential for place laying as well. I knew we were on the right tracks when Ladbrokes limited Lucky 15s and Lucky 31s in their shops. Very rarely happens but shows we are very much on the right lines.
For the record yesterdays `Super Rambo` (10 horses) returned £138.66 for the stake of £45.20 and only 1 horse won! As I have said so many times before `Its not the winner which matters – it’s the winning bet`.
