Good morning everyone…..a fairly brief message today. I owe an apology to Ken from the Forum….if you don’t use the facility, then get down there and chat to some very knowledgeable people. Ken posts his weekly football acca, and again it came up trumps this weekend!! Ken is showing a profit of 200 points, to very low stakes this season, and I would personally like to thank him here for sharing his knowledge with us…..well done Matey! Wednesday, November 17th, 2010I was also Very pleased with Joan D’Arc winning at 100/8 in old money (12.5 nowadays) and the reasoning behind the victory showed what tricks connections are up to. I have always said that Racing is THE hardest nut to crack of all the sports and such antics just prove that theory.
In Football today there is a doubt about Andy Carroll but if he does start I think a fiver @ 9/1 with paddys that he scores with his head is worth a little punt.

Monday, November 15th, 2010Morning all…….not a very inspiring days racing today, but hopefully found a couple of value bets. It’s been quite a weekend hasn’t it? We keep coming up with some cracking bets, and if you follow the stategy, even when the second leg lets you down, you can still come out ok.
I know I’m aftertiming here but after yesterdays first leg went in, I of course put some big lays on the place side, and also a stake return lay of £100 on the win side at 1.55 which was matched. I don’t know how low the horse was laid, but it came 2nd and I was still well up on the bet. If it had won, then yes…..I would have given away £55, but the total return would have made that look a small sum…….and as I keep saying, always…..”leave a bit for the next man”………we have all the tools here to take the bookies on at their own game, so USE them!!

Saturday, November 13th, 2010Good morning. Thanks again to tetley for his efforts on Friday on a very, very tricky day.
I had a `conversation` with a member in the Chatroom during the week discussing why – for me – there was a safety valve placed in the Strategy I undertake in the form of ew with potential shorties. Yesterdays *** bet was a good example. 7/4, 5/2 & 7/4 produced NO winners yet a winning bet. Vital to have these each way safeguards in combination betting. All three beaten very closely as well giving members opportunites to collect via `mine` laying.
Results have proved that we are on the right path so please keep persevering. There will be bad days of course yet overall by maintaining that discipline I can assure you that you will have a positive profit & Loss account at the end of the year.
Not much today and if I see other bets later I will either send another mail or post in the Chatroom.

Todays first horse returns to Hurdling and normally adopts a `Gung Ho` style so I really feel you could have a safe bet by using sensible mines for stake retrieval on both win and place. Personally I inflate the stakes a little to compensate for the `mines`.
Place laying is important here again so get the low `mines` in.
So, if you are not able to follow the above strategy on this blog bet, then just have a £17.50 each way single on Moon Indigo.

I’m not a big fan of laying, but I feel there is at least one favourite that looks somewhat dodgy, so I have included it in my own bets. Unusually for me, I have very little to add today.

I really don’t like Mr Stoutes La Concorde in the 14.05 at Leafy…….currently available to lay at 2.8.. so if playing the bet, you lay at 2.8, then put a bet in the keep at 5.6 (twice the price) to half your lay stake……best of luck if playing.
