Big Mike’s Monday Betting Advice & Horse Racing Each Way Double

Ryder Cup remains riveting viewing with some amazing swings in the Individual matches for traders. Could it be `Sir` Colin Montgomerie? Sports Personality of the Year? Should they of course hang on.

Yesterdays ‘Dunlop’ (each way double) and how I played it. I just want to ensure that we are all singing from the same Hymn Sheet. The first horse in the double won so we trousered a profit of £60. We also had a double `live`. I worked out the potential return on a winning double which was £340. Similarly on the place part should the horse finish in the frame – this amounted to £40. So there was ample room for me to place lay for stake retrieval pre start so I place laid £25 gross (liability £18). I then placed mines at 1.4 and 1.2 for a further £25 gross but these failed to match. On the win site I must admit to being over optimistic and laid just a fiver gross (Liability £17). Poor risk management from yours truly and no way to safeguard such a huge lump (£340). I point this out for two reasons. You MUST play the combination lays and mines on the place site to keep retaining stakes and secondly be more adventurous than I was on the win site next time! Big Mike’s Friday Betting Advice & Horse Racing Each Way Double Bet

Wet Wet Wet everywhere from Celtic Manor to Newcastle. Its a `Hill St Blues Day` for punting (You take care out there). Stakes low again for me – be patient at this time and we will increase the levels when its the right time. A profit of over £3,000 in the first month of the season needs to be wrapped in cotton wool when the elements are against us.

Big Mike’s Saturday Betting Advice & Football Bets

Very little to excite on Friday when I went half stakes and I am maintaining similar levels today on an extremely trappy day.

With Pope Benedict XVI continuing his visit to blighty, I felt compelled today to deliver my very own Big Mike Saturday Morning Mass.

The aim of this columnist is obviously to PROFIT –by providing the winning bet which strange as it seems may not necessarily be the winner of an event. I look at things from a mathematical stance in the hope always of limiting losses. I generally provide place bets and combination bets (mainly each way doubles) as they are THE bet which is abhorred by the Bookmakers. How many times have you seen a sign in your local shop offering special terms on each way doubles? The answer will be never as mathematically they favour the punter arithmetically. Two 5/2 shots placing will provide a profit (a winning bet without actually backing a winner) and also give you solace as well.

Big Mike’s Thursday Betting Advice, Each Way Double and Free Trial Offer

Well it turned out a to be a `Deep Joy` day over at my paid for service, with all 5 of the main bets winning including a 41/1 treble and if you had had the nous to do an accumulator a 231/1 return! Days like that are of course few and far between but hopefully yesterdays profits have paid for the annual subs plus a Holiday as well.

I will stress again – keep stakes as percentage of bank – no more than 5%. Its great fun playing with other Peoples Money isnt it?

I must admit I felt a bit like Del Boy & Rodders in their Reliant Robin outside Sothebys after their windfall. Some great emails from you – thanks for those – BUT – a salutary warning from one member – his account has been closed so remember to keep swapping Bookmakers so that they cannot see a trend!

Six today and though the ground is still a major factor in staking hopefully they will give us a run for the money.

Big Mike’s Tuesday Betting Advice & Correct Score Football Bet

Its a `Hill Street Blues Day` today (remember the Sergeant who said `Be Careful Out there`) – it’s still raining heavily up here and Haydock certainly will cut up & Yarmouth too.

These are the days when you are staggered certain horses win so pull the reins in and stake a bit lower – I am certainly doing that.

Another bus in the terminus yesterday over at my full service – only a small double at 7/2 – but I will take them anyday.
