In addition to horse racing and football, betting and trading on other sports such as Rugby League, Rugby Union, Cricket, Tennis, Golf, NFL, Snooker and Darts also offers some great investment opportunities.

Monday, March 28th, 2011Big Mike’s Wednesday Betting Advice & Betfair Market Pointers
Wednesday, January 19th, 2011Firstly thanks to Tetley over at my main site for another excellent column yesterday and his insight to the latest from the markets.
Remember its vital to check prices near the off as connections are playing Betfair very cleverly with so many `phantom` gambles. A gamble in the morning for instance is used as a `staircase` for connections to use their Exchange accounts and imply the horse is fancied.
Quite regularly you will find these `gambles` are just the opposite and its a means for those close to the action to lay their horses at very low levels. It does go on and seems to be an increasing problem.
Take care when backing a horse for instance which has doubled from its morning summit laying price.

Sunday, December 12th, 2010Huntingdon is off which is a big disappointment so I have juggled the bets a bit. Corks last two races have been switched to Monday so their meeting ends with the 2.50 race.
We did OK with the selections on Saturday over at Big Mike Betting, on a very tricky day and some of my ‘yards’ performed excellently with McCain again showing how good a trainer he is. Well done Young Ginger and lets hope the spotlight stays away from the Media hacks.
The Rugby bet produced 2 1/2 wins for a glorious return.. If you ever want to show clever dicks that there is a huge difference between betting and gambling then the Rugby bets are the ones to show.
TEVEZTATED. The News of the World says hes OFF. Well – they’ve been wrong before! However my lot (Manchester CITEH) now sit level on top – when I saw them play Wycombe at Maine Road a few years back one could only wish for such days. Onwards and not much more Upwards.
My Blog bet today :-
FOOTBALL BET
TOTTENHAM V CHELSEA
Laying £8 on Chelsea @ 2.34
IF Chelsea take the lead in the first half then I am laying a further £15 @ best once the market settles. (Give it a couple of minutes or so after the goal).

Sunday, December 5th, 2010Good morning, well I went to bed last night with a smile on my face in the thought I had cracked the Warwick card with a lovely little BMB on Omaruru, Bless The Wings & Bowntobebad. However `the best laid schemes of mice and men` became apparent this morning when the meeting was called off. Gutted!
We had a good day on Saturday with a big turn out in the Forum Chatroom (think there were 25 of us before the 7.20 race) and hopefully we came out well (financially) as our last leg was backed down to under 2/1 in running so most members would have retrieved their stakes on yesterdays bets AND had good profits from the doubles and treble still contained within the Buzzer. Really – strongly – feel that we are on the right lines with the strategy and despite the poor weather we can now use yesterdays profits to be a little more expansive on some future bets.

All disciplines show a profit which I have to be totally honest and say is a FIRST for me over the past decade where EVERY discipline is in profit. Maybe I am still putting to good use the little things picked up each day (I will come to that later) via the Exchanges and gradually producing what could be the blue print for betting in the future. In other words – keep reducing the downside!
