Good afternoon. Deep joy day on Saturday when nearly everything came off.

In Racing the frames are not as good as yesterday when it was pleasing to see another 15/1 double sail in. The terminus is packed with buses this autumn!.

Big Mikes Wednesday Column

Good morning. Firstly thanks to tetley for his help yesterday. He will be deputising also on Friday. Very fortunate to have such back up and you will also note that the lad posts some extra Hughies (his main source of income nowadays) on the Chatroom Forum so keep that site bookmarked.

Over 100 Trialists on currently so its been a tough time for me in that I had to both deliver the profits and also show there IS another way to gambling.

I have now received the Mid October figures from my Independent Compiler and the figures on the Racing Service from 1st September to October 15th are as follows :-

HUGHIES £12
BERNIE £467
RAMBO -£213
RINGMASTER +£6
DOUBLE DIAMOND £1014
DUNLOP £1194
ALI BABA £145
BUZZER – £41
BMB £520
SINGLES £33
COMBOS etc £1427

Profit thus far a net + £4564

Big Mike’s Sunday Betting Advice including Horse Racing & Darts Bets

Sad to see in a way the fall of Taylor as when a player refuses an interview after losing does not show a good all round sportsmanship game does it? Maybe Lewis will see the backlash tonight but in any event members should green up equally on Wade & Lewis via the outright and then play the match in running as a separate bet.

Mediocre day on Saturday and the Dunlop showed that you dont always need the winner – its the winning bet which counts. The McCain Bumper horse will surely recoup losses next time. Keep it on your side.

Big Mike’s Monday Betting Advice & Horse Racing Each Way Double

Monday, October 4th, 2010

Ryder Cup remains riveting viewing with some amazing swings in the Individual matches for traders. Could it be `Sir` Colin Montgomerie? Sports Personality of the Year? Should they of course hang on.

Yesterdays ‘Dunlop’ (each way double) and how I played it. I just want to ensure that we are all singing from the same Hymn Sheet. The first horse in the double won so we trousered a profit of £60. We also had a double `live`. I worked out the potential return on a winning double which was £340. Similarly on the place part should the horse finish in the frame – this amounted to £40. So there was ample room for me to place lay for stake retrieval pre start so I place laid £25 gross (liability £18). I then placed mines at 1.4 and 1.2 for a further £25 gross but these failed to match. On the win site I must admit to being over optimistic and laid just a fiver gross (Liability £17). Poor risk management from yours truly and no way to safeguard such a huge lump (£340). I point this out for two reasons. You MUST play the combination lays and mines on the place site to keep retaining stakes and secondly be more adventurous than I was on the win site next time! Just thought I would share with you how I cock up from time to time! Dunces Hat for me on Sunday.
